Ingredients
Preparation
Pan
Heat a little oil or fat in a frying pan or on a griddle. Bake the frozen or slightly defrosted* rösti over medium heat on both sides for approx. 4 - 5 minutes until golden yellow (turn over several times).
Combisteamer
Preheat the combi-steamer to approx. 200 °C. Spread the frozen rösti on a baking tray and bake for approx. 10 - 13 minutes until golden yellow. Turn over half way through.
Deep fryer
Place the frozen rösti in a single layer in preheated frying fat /oil (175 °C) and fry for approx. 3 - 5 minutes until golden yellow (only half fill the frying basket, do not overfill it). Tip: remove excess fat with kitchen paper.
Fan-assisted oven
Fan-assisted oven: Preheat oven to 200 °C. Remove foil. Place the frozen rösti onto a baking tray and bake for approx. 17 - 20 minutes until golden yellow. Upper and lower heat: Preheat oven to 220 °C and bake for approx. 17 - 20 minutes until golden yellow.
